The Anthem STR Integrated Amplifier represents a new generation of integrated amplifiers, born from Canadian engineering and manufacturing excellence. It stands out immediately for its modern and refined design, featuring a large TFT display on the front panel that ensures intuitive control, even from a distance. But it's under the hood where its true potential is revealed: it combines the power of a high-performance amplifier with the versatility of an advanced preamplifier and a state-of-the-art digital processor.

The amplification section is based on an eight-bipolar-transistor architecture per channel, supported by a massive low-noise toroidal transformer and oversized filter capacitors, specifically designed to maintain clarity and dynamics even under difficult loads. The result is continuous power output of 200 watts into 8 ohms, 400 watts into 4 ohms, and up to 550 watts per channel into 2 ohms — all delivered with a naturalness and stability that make the STR Integrated a benchmark in its class. The use of carefully selected components, many developed in-house by Anthem, ensures a linear response, wide bandwidth, and extremely low distortion even at high listening levels.

Attention to detail is also evident in the internal layout, with minimized signal paths and a differential analog-digital circuit designed to eliminate artifacts and interference. The digital section supports asynchronous USB inputs up to 32-bit / 384 kHz and DSD at 2.8 / 5.6 MHz, delivering a sound that is warm and natural. There are also coaxial S/PDIF, optical, and balanced AES/EBU digital inputs, as well as balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog inputs, and even dedicated phono inputs for both MM and MC cartridges — all fully shielded to preserve the purity of your vinyl signal.

Another standout feature is the Anthem Room Correction (ARC®) system, which scientifically and precisely adapts the amplifier to your listening environment. By analyzing the room’s acoustics and comparing them to lab standards, ARC® corrects reflections, resonances, and standing waves, audibly and objectively improving sound performance. This feature is especially useful in difficult environments with glass surfaces, asymmetries, or other obstacles to ideal acoustics. For purists, the correction can be disabled, allowing the amplifier to run in “Analog Direct” mode — delivering a completely pure and linear sound, ideal for even the most demanding audiophiles.

The STR Integrated Amplifier also includes advanced bass management, allowing configuration of one or two subwoofers, in mono or stereo, integrating them seamlessly into the system and ensuring deep, controlled low-frequency extension.
