The CX-A5100 supports high-resolution playback up to DSD 5.6 MHz, FLAC/WAV/AIFF 192 kHz/24-bit, and Apple Lossless 96 kHz/24-bit, with gapless compatibility for uninterrupted listening.

Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi, Wireless Direct, Bluetooth, and support for AirPlay, Spotify, Pandora, SiriusXM, Napster, Tidal, and Deezer, enabling high-quality music streaming throughout the home. Integration with the MusicCast system allows multiple Yamaha devices to operate in a multiroom setup, easily controlled via the AV Controller app on a smartphone or tablet. For video, the eight HDMI inputs and two outputs fully support 4K Ultra HD, HDR, Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log-Gamma, and BT.2020, while Yamaha video processing optimizes image quality. Advanced HDMI Zone Switching allows simultaneous management of multiple video zones, up to four, with party mode and trigger control.
