MARANTZ CINEMA 70S S2

The Marantz CINEMA 70s Series 2 is a slimline 7-channel AV receiver designed for home cinema systems and for playing movies, music and video games, even in environments where available space is limited. It delivers 50 W per channel and supports Dolby Atmos, allowing surround configurations with effects distributed across the vertical plane.

The digital section uses a newly upgraded 32-bit, 8-channel DAC designed to improve clarity, resolution and dynamic range across signals from different sources. The circuitry incorporates selected components and benefits from Marantz’s experience in designing audio and AV electronics, with a configuration intended to maintain precise and balanced reproduction when watching movies, listening to music or gaming.

Connectivity includes six HDMI ports and HDMI eARC support, allowing TVs, streaming devices and other audio and video sources to be connected. The receiver is designed to integrate with modern home entertainment systems, managing the various connected sources within a single system.

The HEOS platform integrates wireless music streaming and allows the CINEMA 70s Series 2 to be used as part of compatible multi-room systems. Through HEOS, users can search for and play content from various music platforms, including TIDAL, Pandora and Amazon Music HD, as well as access high-resolution streaming. Multiple rooms can be managed through the HEOS app, coordinating compatible devices throughout the system.

The on-screen interface assists with initial setup and everyday operation, while the receiver’s various functions are designed to be used without requiring constant adjustment of the settings. Advanced features, including optional Dirac Live room correction, allow the system to be adapted to the characteristics of the listening environment.

The chassis adopts a slimline configuration that facilitates installation in furniture and home cinema systems where space is limited. The design follows the aesthetic language of the Marantz CINEMA Series, combining compact proportions with a functional arrangement of controls and front-panel elements.

The CINEMA 70s Series 2 is tuned by the Marantz Sound Master according to an approach focused on clarity, balance and musicality. The receiver therefore combines signal processing, channel amplification and source connectivity in a single unit, making it suitable for movies, video games and music.
