TEAC AD-850 SE

The AD-850-SE is a combined cassette deck and CD player that can also record to USB flash drives.

USB Flash Drive Recording and Playback Supported
In addition to recording from CDs, cassettes, and external input devices to USB flash drives (as MP3 files), CDs, MP3 files on USB flash drives, and external input devices can also be recorded to cassettes. Recorded files will be saved in automatically generated folders based on the source (CD, LINE, or TAPE) on USB flash drives, allowing for easy digital-to-analog conversion without the need for a computer.

Built-in Microphone Input
A built-in microphone input is located on the front of the unit, allowing you to record a microphone connected to the unit. You can also mix the microphone signal during playback and recording from CDs, cassettes, and USB flash drives.
* Microphone sound cannot be recorded when recording from a CD to a USB flash drive.

Echo Effect
Echo can be added to the sound of a microphone connected to this unit. The front panel switch can be used to set the effect to two levels or to turn it off. With the AD-850-SE and a microphone, you can easily enjoy karaoke.
* A separate amplifier and speakers are required for karaoke.

Echo Explained
It adds reverberation to the original sound. The original sound is repeated with varying amounts of delay and dampening over time to produce an almost natural reverberation sound, similar to that heard in a hall or studio.

The cassette deck features all the basic features.
The cassette deck uses a unidirectional dual-head design for recording and playback. It supports cassettes with normal, chrome, and metallic (playback only) placements. This model features all the basic features, including pitch control with a +/-10% adjustment range and timer recording and playback.

The CD player supports CD-R/RW discs and MP3 playback.
In addition to audio CDs, the CD player can play CD-R/RW discs containing MP3 files. During MP3 playback, information such as ID3 tags and file names* are displayed. Various playback modes include program, random, and repeat (one track, all tracks, or program).
* File name display supports half-width English letters and numbers (single-byte characters). Names using full-width characters (double-byte characters), including Japanese, cannot be displayed correctly.

Recording and playback functions on USB flash drives
The repeat playback function can be used in conjunction with various other playback modes, including continuous, random, and program. The synchronized start function, which automatically starts playback of the audio source (CD or tape), makes recording to USB flash drives much easier.

Convenient timer function
A timer can be used to start cassette recording and playback, as well as CD and USB flash drive playback.
