ACCUSTIC ARTS POWER I MK4
All our products are covered by Italian warranty.
The ACCUSTIC ARTS® POWER I - MK 4 was presented in 2015 and it's the 4th generation of this brilliant integrated power amplifier, our long-term audiophile "hit", manufactured since 2002. The current MK 4 version once again exploits a tried and tested circuitry technology and includes a number of improvements.
The circuitry principle
The POWER I - MK 4 is an audiophile integrated amplifier with 4 powerful, selected MOSFET transistors respectively per channel. The driver stage works according to the principle of the current mirror. This circuit principle enables power to be drawn from an existing current. The POWER I - MK 4 is therefore a power-controlled output amplifier with the MOSFET transistors ensuring a very high current capacity.
The POWER I - MK 4 is also suitable for impedance critical or low-ohm loudspeaker systems (up to 2 Ω). Ingenious circuitry removes the need for a servo controller for offset and quiescent current is generated via the IC (Burr Brown® OPA606) or current mirror driver. As a result, direct and alternating current errors (DC and music signal errors) are immediately corrected. This means the total offset is exclusively determined by the quality and symmetry of the used ICs. The circuitry is also designed to minimise the signal paths and ensure that only the needed components are in the signal path.
High quality components only
As one would naturally expect from ACCUSTIC ARTS®, only excellent quality components are used in the POWER I - MK 4. In order to ensure the highest fidelity sound, critical components for the sound quality are individually selected for the POWER I - MK 4, with some of the components manufactured according to our specifications and quality requirements. This includes, for example, the magnetically shielded and encapsulated toroidal transformer or power supply capacitors. Both components are naturally "Made in Germany".
Highest operational safety
The generously dimensioned high performance heat sinks inside the housing ensure a constant operating temperature of the 8 MOSFET transistors. Even at full power there is no danger of overheating. An integrated control unit also permanently monitors operating conditions such as DC offset, temperature, clipping and high frequency. If a pre-defined value of one of these points is exceeded, the loudspeakers are immediately switched off to ensure the highest operational safety for the output amplifier and connected loudspeakers.
German engineering ingenuity
The POWER I - MK 4 is naturally "Handmade in Germany". All manufacturing processes for this product, from the development through to final assembly, are made in Germany.
